I see this title not only as a personal recognition, but as an opportunity to help the region I come from. Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, Serbia, Montenegro and North Macedonia have wines, people and a gastronomic culture that deserves much greater international visibility. Since 1969, only 299 people worldwide have earned the title of Master Sommelier. It is one of the most prestigious qualifications in the fields of wine, hospitality, and luxury gastronomy. Zlatić was born in Bosnia and Herzegovina, spent part of his childhood in Croatia, and grew up and built his professional career in Austria.
