The vineyards are located at Punta Križa, in the Bale area. It is on Cres island, but administratively it belongs to town of Mali Lošinj, said Marko Mladen Komadina while presenting the Sansigot 2023 and Syrah 2024. There are 9,000 vines there, and for now, the grapes are processed on Lošinj, in a garage winery at his parents' house

The site is situated at an elevation of 40 to 80 meters, faces south, and is sheltered from the strong "bura" wind, though there is a constant, gentle breeze. We harvest early in the morning and immediately transport the grapes for processing. We are awaiting the zoning plan to build a winery in this vineyard, which offers a beautiful view of Mali and Veli Lošinj, he explained, adding that he has also planted trojišćina, an indigenous light red variety from the island of Susak, but is still waiting for the first harvest.

The Sansigot 2024 is a wine with light tannins, fine freshness, and a relatively long finish. The variety is indigenous to the island of Susak and slightly chilled wine would pair well with roast lamb or with prosciutto and cheese, provided the latter are not overly aged. The 2023 Syrah was aged in 500-liter barrels; it has an airy, delicate, yet relatively mature flavor profile. It is not heavy on the palate yet lingers impressively, and it paired well with steak tartare. The wines can be tasted at hospitality venues on the islands of Lošinj and Cres and purchased at stores belonging to the local retail chain which is called Jadranka.
